I'm no art major, so I'm not sure what's proper and what isn't. I can only go off of my instinct and say if one thing stands out to me it's the hatching. It's well used giving the picture a sense of texture, like a bag of coffee beans and such. Well done for minimal experience with the medium. The back ground stands out in particular, especially the rocky patterns. It has this ancient feel to it like your in Greece or Mexico, and the contrast between light and dark is nicely plaid drawing focus back to the relief in the middle and the woman holding the tea cup. The woman's design is a bit simplistic, but that only adds to the piece's charm. I digs it!
